Bird Watching Tour for Costa Rica
This tour is designed especially for bird watching lovers. You will discover a wide and diverse species of birds both large and small. For a country as small as Costa Rica, she has approximately 10% of all the species of bird that exist in the world, which is much larger than might be expected.
This tour is designed so that you will visit many different eco-systems found in Costa Rica. Also, specialized local guides are used for each region. This will give you the opportunity to see more species of birds in less time. These professionals know very well each area and the species of their regions. About the Guide:
Eduardo Venegas was born and grew up in Nandayure, Province of Guanacaste and it was there he developed his love for nature. In 1983 he moved to Monteverde where he became Administrator for Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve and later Director of Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve. Venegas has held the position of President of the Monteverde Chamber of Commerce and has been involved in important community projects such as the Urban Plan for Monteverde. He has dedicated more than 18 years of his life to eco-tourism. Venegas, through the years, has become a naturalist with vast knowledge of the flora and fauna of Monteverde and Costa Rica. His special interest is for the birds of Costa Rica and has spent many years in study and research of the wide variety of species which exist in this small country. Currently he is working on the technical revision and photography for "An Illustraded Field Guide to Birds of Costa Rica", published by Incafo Costa Rica S.A.
